Who?

APRIL 2016: Things are ticking over. New Music is in the pipeline.

SEPTEMBER 2014: Finally released my self-produced, self-funded, original EP - Homemade. See the launch gig in the Video Section.

MARCH 2014: 'The Ghost' was played on BBC Essex Introducing - two weeks running! Very proud, and will hopefully lead to more good things.

The first guitar I owned was a hand-me-down acoustic from my Grandad. The steel strings were at least a foot away from the fret board, but that's what I learnt on. It gave me some tough old fingertips! I've still got that guitar hanging on my wall. As with most musicians, secondary school is where it became something I wanted to carry forward and I'm still collaborating with friends from music lessons and school concerts. We had a great musical education at the Plume School, Maldon, and it's those days that will bond us as life-long friends I think.

Toby Power (Percussion), Sean Pollard (Keys), and very occasionally, Emma Morris (Bass) make up the music for this outfit.

Obviously & unfortunately, as life progresses we can't always get together to rehearse & play shows. So more often than not, on stage you'll find me solo with my acoustic & a mic. I still try my best to get the group together though! The recording tends to be a more collaborative effort. I write the music, and all the demos are recorded using my Mac, my fairly cheap mixing desk, and done at my house or the church which Toby helps to run.

I very much prefer playing music with other people, as for me, that's what it's all about. Real instruments, real voices, and real music. So as much as humanly possible, Ben White Music is myself and my friends - Toby, Sean, Emma and whoever else cares to join us!
